ZAKEE SHARIFF & AL NEWMAN FOR LEONA NAESS | 2008

Zakee is art directing and designing the new album campaign for Polydor/Verve artist Leona Naess in collaboration with her husband Al. The first single from the campaign, 'Heavy Like Sunday', came out on 7" single on 2nd June (limited to 500 copies), featuring Zakee's hand-drawn dot logo on the sleeve and watercolour drawings on the label. Leona's album, 'Thirteens', came out in the USA on 15th Sept, also featuring Zakee's artwork. A glowing version of the logo, animated by 76 Creative, can be seen on Leona's website.

ZAKEE SHARIFF AT LIBERTY MENSWEAR DEPT | 2008

Zakee has some drawings on display in the menswear department of Liberty of London (Regent St, London W1), as well as her printed ceramic cups (a collaboration with her Japanese friends Make Art Your Zoo). In the coming months some Zakee/MAYZ men's T-shirts and sweatshirts go on display, with more artwork to follow as well.
